Helpful Information for the dotCMS cloud migration

• The Google Chrome version is the preferred browser to use to edit your website. There are some known issues with Firefox and other browsers.
• DO NOT use spaces in files you upload into your dotCMS folder!  Several users reported broken links because their files they uploaded in dotCMS contained spaces.  The solution is to rename your file without a space in it and re-link your file on your page that contains the broken link.
• Videos -  ALL the Videos are gone, regardless of size.  No MP4 or MOV files were moved over.   For now, If you wish to have a video added to your page, let the ITSWebTeam know.  We are currently working on a youtube embed widget where you can just paste the embed code onto a page.  
• Files - No files are allowed that are larger than 10 MB, regardless of type.    We allow:   PDF's, any "Text" files,  and all web supported images.
• Info about common Office formats - These commonly used Office formats will need to be converted into a supported format.

• Word (doc, docx) -> Save as PDF
• Excel (xls, xlsx) -> Save as PDF
• PowerPoint (ppt, pptx) -> Save as PDF, or save as MP4 if animations/transitions are necessary. If MP4, you will need to upload it to your own YouTube account or send it over to us for processing/uploading.

• Students web authors - We no LONGER NEED to use the WEBAUTH Accounts!   You will now login using your first.lastname@smail.astate.edu account and password.
